Job Details:

Provides leadership and coordination in the development, implementation and facilitation of a comprehensive clinical quality improvement program and coordinates compliance with regulatory requirements as needed. Works in partnership with the clinical and operations management and staff to achieve national best practice performance levels in quality care while implementing evidence based medicines/practices. Provides clinical leadership and technical support to nursing and clinical support staff.
Qualifications/Competencies:

Must have either a current State of Maine Registered Nurse (RN) license or an RN license recognized by the Nurse Licensure Compact ( ). If RN licensure is from a compact state, must obtain a state of Maine RN license within 90 days of changing primary residency to Maine required.

BLS for Healthcare Provider certification is required within 6 months of hire.

Associate's degree in Nursing preferred.

At least3 years of varied clinical nursing, supervisory and performance improvement program experience preferred.

Knowledge of Joint Commission accreditation standards and established standards of care.

Knowledge of accreditation standards, health care regulations, performance improvement, patient safety and policy formulation.

Effective organizational skills.

Effective problem solving and program development skills.

Must have confident and effective oral and written communication skills.

Computer Literacy - Microsoft Office Suite and word processing.

Strong leadership and team building skills.

Ability to work with a variety of disciplines and levels of staff across departments and the health system.

Knowledge of information systems to support the evaluation of current capacity as well as future needs.

Ability to analyze data and employ approved management techniques and statistical tools to obtain maximum effectiveness, efficiency and information.

Requires the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

Ability to direct, instruct and advise staff in the approved methods, procedures and practices employed in effective health care administration.

Ability to utilize strong communication skills and effectively articulate and listen through an interactive style of leadership.
