## Description
The Senior Manager, Strategic Business Development in US Payment Options, is an exciting direct sales position responsible for signing businesses to use the American Express Single Load and Reloadable Products for customer incentives, employee rewards and recognition, and to drive product/channel sale incentives, i.e Spiffs. The incumbent will generate leads through aggressive cold calling, actively maintain and update their target list and establish a prioritized action plan for each target to bring in volume quickly. The individual will work with a cross-functional team in assessing and pursuing deal opportunities, driving partnership valuation, price negotiations, contract negotiations and marketing/merchandising plan to achieve booked charge volume goal from signings. S/He will assist with implementations of the prepaid program before handing off long-term to the client management team. The candidate must have a proven track record of success with 3 to 5 years of solid business to business sales experience, be focused and competitive with a strong drive to over-achieve.
## Qualifications
5 Years sales experience, preferably in a B2B environment
Prepaid Industry experience
Analytical skills
Problem solving
Recent expierence working under a slaes quota incentive plan desired
Extensive cold calling, prospecting and pipeline management experience is required - hunter mentality
Demonstrated success in selling complex products/business
Must have the ability to build a value proposition through effective probing and understanding of the customers' business model, in addition to strong presentation/negotiation skills and the ability to build rapport and credibility
Highly focused on accuracy, rigor, implementation and communication skills
Excellent financial skills, strong quantitative and analytical
Demonstrated experience in building and managing an effective pipeline of quality targets
Must possess the ability to build and leverage relationships with internal colleagues, support personnel and external network partners Incumbent also needs to have a high comfort level with an ambiguous, fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
Virtual office experience a plus. This is a virtual position that requires excellent time management and organizational skillks and the ability to work independently
Highly skilled in word, excel, and especially PowerPoint, i.e., comfortable creating a presentation from a blank piece of paper
Comfortable in sales meetings with C-Level executives internally & externally
Proficient usage of CRM system (ideally )
Flexible with work hours
4 year degree required, MBA preferred
