Overview of Job Function:
The Senior Technical Writer works with members of Product House (Product Management, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Content Development, Curriculum Development, and Enablement) and SCRUM teams to develop topic based content for Verint Systems products. The Senior Technical Writer has an in-depth knowledge of technical writing or instructional design principles, tools, practices, and procedures. The Senior Technical Writer creates clear, concise technical content deliverables using minimalism and topic based writing standards to support Verint Systems software applications. Content deliverables may include product documentation, online help, release notes, instructor-led course materials, and self-paced electronic learning. The Senior Technical Writer provides coordination, control, and project management for assigned projects. The Senior Technical Writer operates under minimal supervision and assists less experienced writers with style and technical issues.
Principal Duties and Essential
Responsibilities:
Performs needs analyses to understand user goals and objectives, and identifies appropriate content deliverables for assigned projects. Analyzes design and delivery implications, production considerations, training strategies, and media selection;
Initiates contact with project management and technical experts to conduct advance planning;
Acts as a project lead, directing the work of other members to meet project deadlines;
Researches projects using all available sources of information (e.g., system requirement specifications, use cases, and interviews with subject matter experts);
Researches, analyzes, and implements content development projects, including scope and schedule of content deliverables;
Writes and revises content deliverables (e.g., online help, installation guides, courseware) per approved content plans, ensuring content deliverables adhere to established standards;
Coordinates informal and formal reviews with subject matter experts and other applicable product team members;
Plans and creates technical Web-based training on Verint EIS products and takes the lead in the design and implementation of Web-based learning;
Applies standard instructional system methodologies, conducts needs analyses, identifies educational/training requirements, and develops instructional objectives, course outlines, and student assessments;
Plans training courses and contributes to the development of new Web-based courses and job aids for online training; promotes, develops and supports blended learning approach;
Conducts reviews of eLearning media to support eLearning programs and researches new software and system requirements to enhance eLearning and an online learning environment;
Provides peer edits for other writers, editing for content, style, copyediting, and proofreading accuracy. Reviews for adherence to established standards;
Provides substantive editing for other Technical Writers, reviewing content deliverables for mechanics, organization, logic, presentation, completeness, and consistency;
Prepares content deliverables for deployment and distribution in document tracking repositories following established processes;
Delivers production-ready course materials to print vendor using established procedures;
Regularly reports project status; recognizes potential problems and promptly reports issues to Content Development Manager;
Responds to requests for content updates based on identified defects, product enhancements, root cause analysis findings, etc. to help ensure high quality products are being delivered to customers;
Assists in development and maintenance of content development processes and standards, recommending changes required to match or surpass industry standards.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, English, Journalism, Instructional Design, Computer Technology, or equivalent education and work experience;

years of experience in a technical writing or instructional design position in a software development environment;
Specific knowledge of authoring tools, such as Madcap Flare, FrameMaker, and WebWorks Publisher;
Must possess strong interpersonal skills as well as excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills;
Ability to maintain and adhere to project and individual schedules with minimal supervision;
Must possess strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to address multiple projects and tasks while adhering to project schedules and deadlines;
Ability to quickly analyze the impact of development changes on a content development project and adjust workload appropriately;
Ability to act as a consultant regarding Content Development 's methodology, standards, and practices;
Knowledge of instructional systems design; experience in the design and delivery of learning solutions;
Ability to effectively cope with multiple tasks and resolve conflicts caused by competing priorities;
Ability to understand and use software being documented;
Ability to perform job functions in a remote office environment with minimal support;
Successful completion of Verint background screening process including, but not limited to, employment verifications, criminal search, OFAC, and SS verification;
Successful completion of a credit check for travel related roles that will require the candidate to obtain the appropriate credit line required to travel.
Preferred Requirements:
Experience with Agile in a SCRUM environment and Macap Flare is preferred.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
