Department: Operating Room - A
Schedule: Full-time
Shift: Day shift w/occasional evenings
Hours: 40 hrs/week; 1030a-1900p, Mon-Fri
Job Details:
Responsible for transporting patients to and from surgery. Assists the Operating Room personnel in the preparation for and the direct care of all surgical patients. Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe environment with adequate supplies; and supports unit objectives and personnel. Assists in room turnover.Maintains physical surroundings to provide a safe, clean environment for the surgical patient. Performs bacteriologic monitoring. Performs various checks and monitoring relating to safety.
Qualifications:
Must be listed as active on the State of Maine CNA registry
BLS is required within 3 months of hire
High school diploma or general education diploma (GED)
Technical training beyond high school, graduation from a CNA training program preferred
12 hours of relevant continuing education required annually to maintain CNA registration
1 year of experience preferred
Other Special Skills -Preferred
Ability to work independently.
