You will function as a critical member of the medical office team and work toward the goals of Be Well My Friend's integrative health center, while providing a high level of customer service to patients.
BWMF is a fast growing integrative health center.
The Patient Service Representative takes care of the beginning and end of the appointment process for the patient.
You will be responsible for scheduling, greeting patients, verifying insurance, confirming patient demographics, accepting co-payments and making follow-up appointments.
These are just some of the important responsibilities the Patient Service Representative has to ensure our patients receive the best healthcare experience possible.
Skills/Requirements:
Excellent customer service skills and friendly attitude.
Ability to multi-task, be flexible, ensure accuracy, and meet changing priorities in a fast-paced, high-workload environment.
Electronic medical record and practice management software experience.
Knowledge of front office procedures and medical terminology.
Strong telephone, written and verbal communications skills.
Organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload.
Computer literacy and knowledgeable in use of general office equipment.
Ability to work with minimum supervision.
Minimum required
Experience:
High school diploma.
Previous experience in a medical office or hospital setting, preferably a family practice.
Medical Terminology course preferred.
