Job Description:
MaineGeneral's Medical Assistant Training Program is accepting applications for classes beginning in MAY 2023.
The course includes a minimum of 140 hours of instruction time, as well as 40 hours of clinical, hands on experience working in a medical practice.
At the end of the program, students will take the CMA exam--Certified Medical Assistant, offered by the National HealthCare Association (NHA).
This certification is one of the nationally recognized certifications required for employment as a Certified Medical Assistant at MaineGeneral.
Candidates enter the program as Medical Assistant Trainee.
In this role your duties will be to:
Provide patient assistance and responding to general inquiries.
Assisting with keeping the practice environment safe, clean, orderly, and appropriately stocked Assisting with maintenance of equipment, medical supplies, and examination areas within the practice setting.
Performing administrative and clinical duties as assigned to support the operations of the practice including patient chart preparation and answering phones.
Instruction time and required clinical hours required to write the CCMA exam are included in paid hourly shifts.
There is no cost to enroll in this program--MaineGeneral will sponsor you and cover the tuition cost for you! You will in turn commit to attending all classes, completing all assignments and required elements of the program, and accept a position as a Certified Medical Assistant upon completion for a minimum of one year.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
