This role will provide delivery of high voltage electrical substation designs for our projects.
The Civil Substation Engineer will work under the leadership of Supervising Engineer.
The Candidate is required to work within a multi-discipline team to design efficient and reliable high voltage substations.
The engineer will coordinate his/her design activities to maintain project schedules and ensure successful project completion.
The engineer will also assist the Estimating Team in preparation of estimates and project proposals.
Your Impact Perform engineering tasks related to substation design, and site civil to support construction projects Review reports and coordinate support activities, including plan production and drafting report text or comment responses Review permit applications Review construction level drawings in AutoCAD under the supervision of senior engineers Independently complete specific smaller assignments with minimal supervision and coordinate with other staff Work collaboratively with other engineers on projects Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs Perform construction oversight Conduct construction closeout activities including, record drawings, and contract closeout Overtime required, as needed.
Who You AreRequired Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or closely related degree 3
years of engineering/consulting experience with a focus on civil site design Strong written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills Demonstrated professional judgment, consistency and attention to detail Strong computer skills and organizational abilities Ability and willingness to travel to project sites Anticipated travel expected to be less than 10% overnight travel Adaptability and willingness to adjust to client needs Must pass physical, background check This position is subject to and contingent upon client approval of candidates put forth for consideration by WSP Relocation assistance is not available for this positionPreferred

Expected Salary:
$68,800-$95,000WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.
WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant's sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
