The Role:
Lead Mammography Technologist The Opportunity:
We invite you to join our team as a Lead Mammography Technologist and take on a crucial role in providing mentorship and guidance to fellow team members.
As the Lead Mammography Technologist, you will be responsible for maintaining MQSA and ACR Accreditation while collaborating with department leads to ensure exceptional patient care.

You Will:
Ensure Commitment to Excellence:
Oversee the daily work of the team to ensure the delivery of excellent patient care.
Promote and maintain a culture of excellence throughout the department.
Provide Leadership and Mentorship:
Demonstrate advanced knowledge and technical expertise to guide and lead team members in their respective areas or functions.
Coach and evaluate team performance, focusing on productivity and quality management.
Be a positive role model, fostering teamwork and cooperation among team members.
Coordinate Services and Workflow:
Assist in coordinating services, prioritizing assignments, and managing workflow.
Encourage situational decision-making and problem-solving to ensure efficient operations and high-quality outcomes.
Accreditation and Quality Control:
Collaborate with the Supervisor to obtain and maintain the accreditation of new equipment and re-accreditation every three years through the American College of Radiology, ensuring compliance with all relevant requirements.
Monitor quality control testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting to maintain the highest standards of imaging quality.
You Have:
Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA)
Experience:
Prior experience with MQSA requirements is essential to meet regulatory standards.
Passion for Quality Improvement and Patient Care:
Demonstrate a genuine passion for continuous quality improvement and delivering excellent patient care.
Show an inquisitive mindset and dedication to enhancing outcomes.
Advanced Knowledge of Mammography:
Possess advanced knowledge of mammography procedures, techniques, and equipment to ensure accurate and high-quality imaging.
Experience and Certification:
Have at least 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
Hold a current R.
T.
(R)(M) certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Additional certification as R.
T.
(BD) by the ARRT is preferred.
Hold a State of Maine License for Radiologic Technology/Radiographer (RT).
Adaptability and Strong Communication:

Adapt to changing priorities while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
Possess strong collaboration and communication skills to foster consensus and understanding among the team and cross-functional teams.
