weeks' vacation to start! The Office Specialist I in the Bureau of Motor Vehicles for the Division of Vehicle Services provides administrative support and assistance to the Division Director.
This position deals with sensitive and confidential information and acts as the liaison to various entities and department inside and outside of state government.
The position will work Monday - Friday, 8:

A typical day involves:
Maintaining the Director's schedule, creating and maintaining legislative files, transcribing meeting notes, compiles reports and performs administrative duties for the Director.
Processing and tracking the specialty plate program and assisting the Secretary of State's Office with the issuance of Gold Star plates, assisting veterans with various plates, decals and park letters, and processing the Division of Enforcement's investigation report recommendations.
Other duties may include instructing, guiding, and advising the public in the laws, rules, regulations, and procedures relating to the Address Confidentiality Program (ACP) to ensure credentials are issued in accordance with state law and ensure the safety and confidentiality of the registrant.
To be successful you will need:
Knowledge of the principles, practices, and equipment related to quality control of data input and output.
Ability to verify, code, compute, and/or reconcile data on standard documents.
Ability to conduct research, gather information, and analyze results to reach a conclusion.
Ability to coordinate between a wide variety of entities, organizations, and personalities.
Strong and effective communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Minimum
Qualifications:
Training, education, or experience in office and administrative support work.
Demonstrates competency in applying a proficient knowledge of modern office practices to perform advanced administrative support tasks requiring specialized skills.
The ability to use independent judgment, initiative, and discretion to make determinations on varied matters.
