Spurwink-Chelsea's full-time Maine-D.O.E.-certified Educational Technician III is an integral part of the classroom, and should be passionate about improving the delivery of programming for students. The Ed Tech III will work the normal school year, plus a 28 day extended program. Hired applicants are expected to participate in a two-week orientation in Spurwink's Training Center in Portland, Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm.
Duties:
Our students have a wide range of emotional, behavioral, learning and developmental challenges. Ed Tech IIIs provide a high level of consistency for our students, complete daily data collection and documentation, conduct one-on-one or small group instruction with indirect teacher supervision, and introduce new learning to the students in collaboration with the teacher. This position requires the ability to work as a part of a treatment team, think critically, make therapeutic relationships, and set consistent limits.
Qualifications:
Ed Tech III applicants must have, or be eligible for, Maine Department of Education Educational Technician III certification by having completed at least 90 credit hours of college work. A bachelor's degree is preferred. A positive attitude, high energy level and the ability to think outside of the box are essential!

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
