Minimum 3 years experience preferred

ME First Wellness Coach is responsible for assisting the Program Manager with the integration and implementation of the ME First Program for the State of Maine Contract.
The primary goal of the program is to coordinate services with various services providers such as dietitians, wellness health coaches, personal trainers and group facilitators among others, to reduce obesity in the work force through a behavior modification program, group sessions and individualized care management. The program's efforts are focused on teaching participants how to achieve sustainable weight loss through healthy behavior changes.
Program related duties are of a complex and sometimes confidential nature. Skills are performed with a high degree of independence, self-initiation and leadership. In addition, communication with participants, team members and manager are crucial to this position.
Qualifications/Competencies:
BLS is required within 3 months of hire
Wellness, Health or Life Coaching Certification preferred
Bachelor's degree preferred
3 years or more formal wellness, health or life coaching experience is preferred
Other Special Skills -Preferred

Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office applications skills.

Demonstrate spreadsheet and database skills and Report writing skills are strongly preferred

The ability to work independently is required.

Thorough understanding of mindfulnessstrongly preferred.

Thorough understanding of motivational interviewing techniquesstrongly preferred

Thorough understanding of stage of change modelstrongly preferred

Demonstrated experience in one-on-one coaching and case coordination strongly preferred.

Excellent verbal and written communication strongly preferred.

Position may involve travel up to 50% of the time.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
