Overview of Job Function:
The Director of User Experience is responsible for leading the design of the next generation UI for Customer Experience Optimization suite. This key position has four core functions: User experience design lead, design team manager, user advocate and content creation. They will leverage user research methodologies and techniques to identify who our users are, and how to build products that meets their needs. This role will direct a team of internal and external resources focused on creating compelling experiences that balance user intent, business needs, and company vision.
Principal Duties and Essential
Responsibilities:
Lead the customer-centric vision, strategy, and execution of the user experience design.
Advocate a vision for new interaction models designed for simplicity and discoverability to meet the needs of our user base.
Produce design concepts and translate these into product ready content.
Works with Product Managers, Product Owners, End Users, Graphic Designers and Developers to wireframe, design and implement interactive designs for new and existing product applications.
Communicate all aspects of work coherently to all project team members.
Developing new concepts for the multi-platform system through User Interface design for web, mobile and tablet.
Give general graphic design support to wider product development teams to enhance the product, tools and internal presentations.
Coordinate multiple projects with varying levels of graphic & production support.
Manage 3rd party vendors in conducting UX research and optimization.
Create new content, either as mock ups or for production and so be able to create content in Photoshop as well as utilize wireframes, html-mockups and simple prototypes to test and recommend improvements to internally and externally focused applications.
Act as the practitioner for all UX work for the team, and will perform all activities as well manage 3rd party vendors in conducting UX research and optimization.
Minimum Requirements:
A minimum of 10 years of demonstrated experience designing complex web-based systems in a technology or software organization.
Thorough understanding of overall UI design concepts and processes
Strong understanding of the user-centered design process
Multi-Platform experience including Web application for desktop and mobile devices
Experience with generating design content for software applications, UI prototypes, UI specifications, flow diagrams, and wireframes
Ability to create content with photoshop
Commercial or Enterprise software product user interface design experience
Established track record of leading design teams and working with end users
Successful completion of Verint background screening process including, but not limited to, employment verifications, criminal search, OFAC, and SS verification;
Preferred Requirements:
A 4-year college degree in a related field.
Ability to prototype with HTML, CSS and Javascript
Experience of Agile development methodologies
Experience with an enterprise software vendor
