THIS POSITION IS BASED IN BANGOR, MAINE
Provides daily operation and assist in the supervision of multiple programs for the State ofMainesurrounding the Fitness and Wellness Program. Organizes and leads safe and effective exercise programs to promote healthy lifestyles for the State ofMaineemployees.Implements fitness and wellness training and awareness, general and specific, for the State ofMaineworkforce through employee health and benefits.Develops new, general and specific, fitness and wellness education and training for the State orientation and fitness training to State ofMaineemployees in theAugustalocation.Assists the Program Manager in the supervision and oversight for theFitnessCenterin theAugustalocation.
Qualifications:

BLS is required within 3 months of hire

Certification in area related to the instructional topic being taught is preferred

Personal Training Certification (PTC), orCertified Strength and Conditioning Specialist or (CSCS) CertificationorNational Athletic Trainers' Association Board Certification (NATA) isrequired

Bachelor's degree, Health or fitness-related; Health or Exercise Physiology is preferred

3 years or more of experience is preferred
Other Special Skills -Preferred

Proficiency in a suite of MS Office applications
Excellent organizational skills, communication skills and ability to work independently. Must be outgoing, good at motivating people.
Good health and physical fitness are strongly preferred
Public speaking background preferred
