The Specialized Corporate Travel Counselor will be responsible for timely and accurate servicing of American Express Business Travel arrangements for corporate travelers at a VIP Global account. Will ensure top level customer service through effective use of the Sabre GDS, associated tools as well as online navigation and support, while maintaining excellent telephone service techniques and prompt replies to emails. Handle 70% international and 30% specialized domestic travel related requests and process air, hotel, car and other requests. Counsel clients on efficient routes, lowest available fares, passport and visa requirements and American Express travel products and services. Act as a customer Liaison between client corporation and client contracted and American Express preferred suppliers. Additional duties include but are not limited to: customer service issue research, follow-up and resolution: International/domestic ticketing and special project requests.

The Ideal Candidate will possess the following:
Minimum 3 years experience in the travel industry.
Must have minimum 3 years international travel reservations experience is required.
Proficient in Sabre or similar GDS (Apollo/Amadeus/etc.) and email applications (Outlook.)
Extensive International air faring, construction of complex itineraries and destination knowledge is required.
International ticketing/exchange experience is a plus.
Stellar customer service skills to uphold American Express Blue Box Values and Customer Care principles of the American Express Brand.
Experience with American Express Point of Sale tools, such as RezOnePlus (ROP) is a plus.
This position requires decisiveness, attention to detail, superior written and verbal communication skills; an ability to learn quickly, willingness to be flexible, work independently, strong teamwork skills and be a self starter.
Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Office a plus.
Due to the business needs, this person will need to be flexible to the hours of operations: M-F 7a-6p Pacific Time.

Dedicated work space must be within own residence and that follows the ergonomic and safety guidelines for performing travel counselor duties
Axcess@Home Agent is responsible for supplying their own furniture; desk with lockable drawer or separate lockable file cabinet, chair, document shredder, smoke detector in proximity of work area, and fire extinguisher
Axcess@Home Agent must complete Flexible Work Arrangement Application and Agreement
Axcess@Home Agent must complete and meet the requirements of the Work Environment and Safety Assessment
High speed internet capability with at least 50 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speeds: DSL or Cable (no wireless or satellite ISP's are permitted)

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
