CAI is looking for a Director of Network and Telecom.
This is a 1 year position located in Augusta, Maine.

The Director of Network and Telecom is responsible for operations, maintenance, and long-term planning of the network and telephony infrastructure. We are looking for a Dynamic and exceptionally organized individual with experience managing and developing an enterprise class network infrastructure that supports State Government. This person will provide direct leadership to the Network and Telecomm technician staff ensuring a top notch service organization A strong understanding of switches, routers, telephony equipment, networking monitoring tools, and other critical technology for the network/communications infrastructure with at least 10
years' experience. The candidate must be able to develop strategic plans, present ideas in a non-technical manner to Sr. leadership and implement the plans successfully. Able to evaluate, define metrics and make recommendations when systems or software needs to be changed. Experience with project budgets from $1-$5MM. This position reports to the CTO and will be required to deliver certain goals and objectives set by the CTO on time, within scope.
Required Duties:
Ability to design, deploy and maintain complex enterprise voice and data networks including cloud-based infrastructure.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop and write project plans, documentation for technical staff and end-users while communicating successfully to senior leadership (Commissioner, CIO, CTO, IT Committees, and Clients) these topics.
Prepares and maintains documentation of the overall network topology, equipment inventory, and the configuration of network infrastructure devices.
Develops, Implements and maintains a multi-year plan for network infrastructure hardware replacement and upgrade (Strategic and Tactical planning).
Standardizes process for network and infrastructure upgrades, including development and documentation of master copy of supported configurations.
Responsible for budget development and oversight for the department. $1-5MM Operational and $5MM
project budget experience.
Conducts research on network upgrades and components to determine feasibility, cost, time required, and compatibility with current systems.
Keeps abreast with trends and latest developments in network environments and recommends best practices including appropriate technology, software, and processes.
Vendor Management.
Coordinates with other services (Data Center, etc.) to ensure that all systems meet the client/customer's needs.
Monitors, analyzes, and evaluates network performance and resolves identified degradation trends and problem areas; uses data gathered to make recommendations for future improvements.
Develops appropriate written network security procedures and processes that addresses client devices and network infrastructure equipment.
Resolves problems related to phone systems, Security Cameras and Access Control
Supervises and evaluates all data and telecomm staff members, full time and contract.
IT staffing and budgeting projections
Promotes creative and innovative thinking from team members.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, network technology, or related field; may be substituted by equivalent work experience - 10 years+.
Experience with and understanding of project management.
Ability to design, deploy and maintain various data networks including cloud-based infrastructure.
Strong organizational skills, and experience managing and developing a team of employees.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
