CSG is currently seeking a full-time Technical Field Representative to work in support of Efficiency Maine's Home Energy Savings and Low Income Programs. The Technical Field Representative's primary responsibility will be conducting Quality Assurance inspections in the areas surrounding Waterville and Bangor. He or she will also be responsible for training, mentoring, and providing ongoing support to Efficiency Maine's network of over 700 Residential Registered Vendors. The successful candidate must have excellent technical skills in residential building science and energy efficiency, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
Working under the direction of the Program Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
Conducting Quality Assurance inspections in support of Efficiency Maine's Home Energy Savings and Low Income Programs, particular in the areas surrounding Waterville and Bangor, and in the northern and eastern reaches of the state (extensive travel is anticipated).
Reporting inspection findings to homeowners and vendors.
Providing programmatic and technical support to Efficiency Maine's network of over 700 Residential Registered Vendors. Ongoing training and education will be provided to keep staff current on latest industry developments and opportunities.
Supporting Registered Vendors with the process for submitting rebate claim and energy loan requests, including the use of the computer applications for building energy modeling.
Providing technical support to office staff (1 - 2 days per week, in Augusta, Maine).
Reviewing rebate claim and energy loan requests to ensure compliance with all applicable program guidelines.
Staying current on latest program initiatives, policies, procedures, etc. and proposing ideas for program or process improvements.
Ensuring that disciplinary actions required by the Quality Assurance system, client, or other sources and approved by the Program Operations Manager are carried out.
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Extensive knowledge of residential building science and energy conservation along with experience in existing home repair, renovation, and/or construction.
Three to five years of experience in building diagnostics, air infiltration reduction and/or insulation.
Proven ability to learn and process technical information from different sources.
Ability to learn and implement program guidelines, incentive systems and requirements.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) to effectively communicate technical and program details to contractors, customers, trades people and other organizations.
Computer proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
Field duties will require the Technical Field Representative to enter residential attics, basements and crawl spaces, and to utilize scientific measurement equipment that weighs approximately 35 pounds. CSG will provide all necessary equipment.
Ability to use energy models to project energy savings, and to teach Vendors the same.
The Technical Field Representative will be required to obtain Building Performance Institute (BPI) certification as a Building Analyst.
The successful candidate must have access to a personal vehicle to cover the assigned territory. Some night and weekend availability may be required.
Ability to work well independently and in a team setting.

Salary Range: Commensurate with experience

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
