Granite Services manages qualified field service technicians who perform underwater camera maintenance, setup and repair at licensed nuclear facilities in the United States and around the globe which have been shut down for refueling.
Granite Services is looking for applicants with electro-mechanical and/or electronic repair experience to work as a Camera/E-Tech supporting nuclear outages in the eastern US.
The Camera technician has responsibility to perform assigned tasks to support modifications, outage and or inspection service work scopes at customer sites.
Camera technicians are typically electro-mechanical and/or electronics technicians with equipment and tooling specific knowledge and experience based in cameras. Work is performed in a high stress environment, under strict schedules, and includes exposure to
nuclear radiation.
Education and Experience Requirements:
+ Experience with repairing electronic systems, using frequency counters, digital multi-meters and oscilloscopes
+ AA degree in Electronics preferred, applicable school training and/or 2 years related work experience.
+ Specialized classes including computer classes and training on specific equipment.General Responsibility:The Camera Technician reports to the Project manager at outages, and interfaces with the customer as needed. The Camera Technician maintains and repairs the underwater cameras systems and associated tooling used to support outage activities.Specific Responsibilities:
+ Responsible for the servicing of Underwater Nuclear IVVI Inspection Camera systems and associated support equipment
+ Maintenance and repair of ROS D-40, Ahlberg, PTZ-100, TGIT, Firefly, and RJ-2100 Camera Systems
+ Performs alignments and maintains electronic camera systems, repair of electronic systems, using frequency counters, digital multi-meters and oscilloscopes
+ Perform hands on work related to support the proper operation of the camera systems and related equipment including detailed system setup, functional testing, and maintenance
+ Perform troubleshooting and repair of camera systems and or tooling and components.
+ Verify that proper and appropriate spares and replacement parts are on hand.
+ Inventory and packaging/unpacking of equipment to meet GE/DOT standards.
+ Maintains all camera systems to meet or exceed GE/site FME standards
+ Work as part of a team to ensure equipment/tooling reliability and execute effective turnovers with other personnel to keep work organized and on schedule
+ Make recommendations for work improvement and document lessons learned
+ Perform all work in accordance with applicable ALARA and safety regulationsOther Requirements:
+ Must be able to obtain Unescorted Site Access at a Nuclear Power Plant (includes background investigation, drug testing, and psychological exam)
+ Must be able to pass required physical exam.
+ Meet physical requirements of the jobo Able to stand, bend or kneel for extended periods of timeo Able to wear full body protective clothingo Able to work in radiation control areas
+ Complete Granite's Environmental Health and Safety training modules
+ Successful completion of skill specific training (80% or higher)
+ Position travels to customer sites & requires 100% travel.Other Information:Sites: Various Locations, will be assigned to 1-2 nuclear outages in the Spring 2017 seasonOutage/Assignment Dates: TBDOutage assignments are 8-12 hours a day depending on week of the outage. Nuclear Power Plants operate 24 hours a day, therefore technicians may be required to work nights, holidays, and weekends.Per Diem while on Outage Assignment (not local to job): $130.00/day (Meals, Lodging & Incidentals - hotel booked by employee)Travel: Booked by employee. Flight & Rental Cars are reimbursed on weekly expense reportsTravel In Day: 8 hours of pay + $130.00/d Per DiemTravel Out Day: 8 hours of pay + $40.00 Meal ExpenseStarting Rate of Pay: $22hr + overtime, based on experienceNote: Selected employees are paid for only hours worked. Job is outage season based (not a full time position).

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
