The Lift Director will be responsible for overseeing, evaluating, and eliminating risk to the general public and employees, replacement time of load, value of load, time of plant shutdown, and personnel lifts, among others.
The Lift Director will work with teams performing lifts and crane operations; such as the crane operator, the lead rigger, signalperson, site safety, production and maintenance supervision, first responders, Manpower Supervisors, crane manufacturer, and others.
This highly-specialized person must have a well-rounded skill set in crane operation, rigging, inspection, and critical lift planning.
These positions are for work in the US and require candidates that are US citizen or legal residents with a current US Green Card. You must be able to pass a drug test and background check. Some of the physical requirements of this position are traveling /
field service job that requires you to be able to be away from home for extended periods of time, the ability to lift safely a minimum of 50 pounds, perform physical work related activities, and wear personal safety protection equipment (PPE). Employees must
be prepared to work in different shifts, as required, to safely complete the assignment. You must have reliable transportation.
o Experience in lift planning, equipment operations, rigging, and load moving, and planning and execution of standard and critical lifts.
o Mobile crane operations, limitations, and configurations, plus other types of equipment, such as gantry systems, overhead cranes systems.
o Rigging and limitations associated with slings, hardware, and lifting devices.
o People, planning, sequencing, communication, negotiating, safety.
Required Qualifications:
o Must be a NCCCO Certified Lift Director ? Mobile Cranes
Must have taken the following exams:
o NCCCO Lift Director Core
o NCCCO Lift Director Mobile Crane Specialty
o NCCCO Mobile Crane Operator Core
o NCCCO Mobile Crane Operator Specialty TTL or TSS
o NCCCO Mobile Crane Operator Specialty LBC or LBT
o NCCCO Rigger Level II
Physical Requirements
o Lifting/carrying: Carrying light loads related to field measurement equipment, equipment cases weighing 15 lbs. or less.
o Dexterity: Ability to type using a keyboard with relative efficiency, ability to make handwritten notes and sketches indoors and outdoors at industrial plant and construction sites at any time of the year.
o Walking/Climbing: Ability to use multi-level stair towers and rung ladders unassisted.
o Visual Acuity: Ability to discern single line and 3 dimensional computer images representing objects being designed or drafted.
o Hearing: Ability to hear safety alarms and signals while wearing hearing protection.
o Physical exertion: Ability to walk up to one mile on industrial plant and construction sites outdoors at any time of the year. Ability to work in protective clothing which may elevate body temperatures by several degrees Fahrenheit for periods of up to 15
minutes without a break.
o Breathing: Ability to work while wearing a respirator or self-contained breathing apparatus.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
