The Residential Aide ensures the safety and security of clients and continuity of treatment program during evenings, weekends, and holidays. Provides substance abuse information and support to extended care clients.
Qualifications/Competencies
Licenses:
Valid Driver's license required
Certifications:
CPR/First Aid certification required within 2 months of hire
Certified Residential Medication Aid (CRMA) certification required within 2 months of hire
MOAB certification required within 6 months of hire
Education:
High school diploma or equivalency plus general knowledge of substance abuse counseling preferred.
Special Skills Preferred:
Appreciable contact with patients
Must have strong communication skills
Confidentiality of information must be maintained
May be required to transport clients

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
