We are recruiting to fill openings for Field Service Technical Advisors to travel to customer sites and support our customers with their installation, maintenance, and warranty work with industrial power generation rotating equipment, primarily Steam Turbines
and some Gas Turbines. We have openings for entry level candidates, recently graduated with an engineering or technical degree, and openings for intermediate Field Service Turbine TFA?s with less than 5 years? experience.
Training will consist of classroom and OJT and will involve product knowledge, technology, safety, and working processes.
These positions are based in the US and Canada and require candidates that are citizen or legal residents of the US or Canada. You must be able to pass a drug test and background check. Some of the physical requirements of this position are traveling / field
service job that requires you to be able to be away from home for extended periods of time, the ability to lift safely a minimum of 50 pounds, perform physical work related activities, and wear personal safety protection equipment (PPE).
o Provide customers with technical direction and support on GE Packaged products or other non-GE products.
o Takes direction from GE Management to implement Upgrades and perform inspections on turbines and is responsible for directing lower level craft labor to perform the Upgrades/ Inspections.
o Signs off on all changes/Inspections performed.
o Complete standard service reports, invoicing packages, and other administrative requirements.
o Drive customer satisfaction through commitment to Safety and Quality.
o Monitor site safety during project execution
o Ensure all parts needed for the job are shipped to the site
o Provide Parts numbers and quantities of additional items using GE Electronic Tools
o Supply customers with proper Turbine drawings by using GE Electronic Tools
o Perform walk-downs during installation/ Maintenance to ensure that the customer?s contractors are working properly.
o Perform aftermarket upgrades that need to be performed at the site level.
o BS Engineering degree EE, ME, CE, CS, IE, etc. Technical/University degree or qualifying experience.
o Successful candidates should have a solid understanding of Steam and Gas Turbines, Aero derivative Gas Turbine Operation & Controlling Parameters.
o In order to provide direction to others, this position requires technical competence in reading and interpreting electrical/mechanical flow and instrument diagrams, dial and laser alignment and thermal growth equipment.
o Able to travel to and from projects and various field assignments will be required with up to 100% travel and you might be away from home for extended periods of time.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
