NOTE:
This is a TERM appointment (not-to-exceed 2 years). Term appointments are non-status, non-permanent appointments of limited duration (more than 1 year but not more than 4). Term employees are eligible to earn leave and generally have the same benefits as permanent employees including health and life insurance, within-grade increases and Federal Employees Retirement System and Thrift Savings Plan coverage. Term appointments may be extended without further competition (up to the 4 year maximum). The appointment to a Term position does not confer eligibility for promotion or reassignment to other positions or the ability to be non-competitively converted to permanent employment. Accompanies the LIP during each patient visit and documenting/transcribing information in the EHR; Documents medical visits and procedures as they are being performed by the physician or LIP; Effectively navigates, ensures regulatory compliance, reviews and gathers information from the health record; Facilitates the flow of patients through the clinic by queuing orders including referrals, tests, medications, encounters, etc.; Forwards documentation to the LIP for review, approval and signature; Assists the treatment team in ensuring medical documentation complies with Joint Commission and other accreditation body requirements; Participates in quality improvement activities in an ongoing basis and recommends changes for improvement; Ensures workload credit and statistical information is maintained for the medical center; Manages time appropriately and prioritizes workload to ensure completion; Performs other related duties as assigned. This position requires the skills of a qualified typist. In addition to meeting the experience and/or education requirements, you must be able to type at least 40 words per minute. AND To qualify for this position, you must also meet one of the following:

Experience:
At least one (1) year of progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position to be filled. Experience includes performing work such as transcribing information into an electronic record, ensuring accuracy, spelling, punctuation and grammar; utilizing a variety of computer applicants/software such as word processing, spreadsheet database and audio-visual presentation software. Due to the major duties and responsibilities of this position, all applicants must have knowledge of medical terminology. NOTE:

Successful completion of two (2) years of education above the high school level in an accredited institution. This education must have been obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. NOTE:

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
